Listening to: I'll Keep Your Memory Vague - Finger Eleven
Hey, everyone! I'm glad to say that I'm officially
done grade 11. Yay!!! The marks could've been better but honestly I'm just glad it's over and I did put in a ton of effort anyway. Today, I was glad to learn that I didn't fail anything, especially my Theory of Knowledge exam. All that's left now is to wait for the IB math and French exam results on July 6th (or 7th, I have no idea).
So what have I been doing since the last blog?? Well, basically nothing productive. I've gone to see two movies:
Kung Fu Panda and
Get Smart. Both were pretty awesome. Kung Fu Panda, I went to see with my mom and my 4 year old sister. She seemed to love it as well, although she gets really worried when the bad guys appear to be winning so that was really cute. Get Smart I saw with my friends a few days ago. It was hilarious, probably painful if one was to experience some of the stuff in the movie in real life, but nonetheless hilarious.
There's also a pile of birthdays around this time. My friend, Elizabeth's birthday was a while ago but she had a party this Saturday. I finally discovered
Wii. I was so amused and amazed. It's so cool, you just move your arms and your actions are mimicked on-screen. Yes, I'm like a little child who's amazed by anything and everything. Anyway, tomorrow is another party. I'm making a bet with myself based on whether or not I'll get lost on the way there. Currently I'm leaning towards getting lost cause it's in the middle of nowhere.
I've also obtained a puzzle. This has mixed consequences.
The Good:
001. Less time spent staring at my computer screen, this saves my eyes
002. I'm not so bored anymore
003. It's huge, difficult, time consuming, and FUN
The Bad:
001. I am now staring at tiny little puzzle pieces which kill my eyes.
002. I am officially obsessed and spend hours working on it.
I've actually updated the site (and it's not the layout this time). *clap clap* I've added an icon tutorial that explains how to create a
sunburst effect. Well, it's kind of subursty or just orange, I was trying to be creative. That's it for now, but there's more coming soon, I'm making a list.

Eek spam's so annoying...I finally decided to post and I notice I have 500
spam comments, I'm not exaggerating. Moving on...I'm so close to finishing school this year and I'm so excited!!! It's turning out to be a very interesting (and odd) week as well. This entire weekend I've been studying for my
Theory of Knowledge (in English=philosophy) exam which I just came back from. I'm happy to say that it was better then I expected, just very long. And where it specifically said to write succinctly and clearly, I was vague and wordy... I'm great at following instructions that way. This just proves that it's possible to learn an entire course in 2 days, I'm not so sure that this has a positive effect on your mark. Anyway,
chemisty is next and my last exam. I've actually been paying attention in this class so I'll hopefully have better results there.
Monday was a fun day. I only went to school for half a day. I walk into chemistry class and it says, "Write quickly so we can blow stuff up." This is precisely the reason why I like chemistry. Our teacher recreated the
experiment that set of the fire alarm two weeks ago (just safely behind glass unlike the other class). So that was fun. Next was the French
listening exam and that was just plain amusing. No one had any idea what was being said even the teacher so after a while she was screaming out random answers and promised to give us all 90s.
The weather's been so crazy, not just here but all over the world, and I guess it's not so bad here compared to all the floods and tornadoes everywhere. Here it's just
freak thunderstorms, there's one almost everyday, with hail too! I was on the bus home today and I look up and it looked as if I was in the eye of a storm (if you've seen
Day After Tomorrow you know what I mean). So there was a giants circle of clear sky and that was surrounded by creepily dark storm clouds on all sides. Guess that's what happens when you mess with the environment.
That's it for now, I'm off to study chemistry (I calculated that I need at least 99% on the exam to get the mark I want, good luck to me it isn't going to happen) and I will update after my exams are done on Thursday. Hope everyone's enjoying the end of school.
[EDIT]Ok, so I got bored studying chemistry...um...actually I didn't even get to that. But I made a new layout. So now I'm much happier and I can study with a clear conscience (it really should be the other way round)
